Welcome to our quaint little village, surrounded by stunning lake Cootharaba part of the Cooloola National Park. My house is an eclectic well lived in, well-loved, bohemian house surrounded by Permaculture gardens with fountains, frog ponds and resident wild birds. A quiet place to retreat.
Two minutes walk away, for more action there's sailing, kite surfing, swimming, bush walking and a great pub with delicious meals all day.

Hello there, My name is Cate and I see myself as energetic, friendly and easy going. I enjoy very much traveling the world and experiencing other cultures. Many world travelers have visited and stayed in my house in Australia, with another traveler's organization, so I have come to appreciate and enjoy spending time with them and learning about their culture and customs. For seven years I lived and studied in Japan, so I speak Japanese although not as well as I did twenty years ago. Three years ago I spent 6 months with my daughters in India and then another six months backpacking by myself or sometimes with friends, overland from Scotland to Turkey. The purpose of that trip was mainly to practice Aikido but also to immerse myself in travel, through so many amazing countries. Aikido which I have practiced for 30 years, is very much part of my life as is now yoga. I love sailing swimming and gardening.... all these activities can be enjoyed at my place as I have space to do all. The splendor, quietness and beauty of nature is essential in my life. My family and friends are so very important. The village in which I live is called Boreen Point we, are a very supportive and friendly community. The main activities here are water sports kayaking, sailing, boating, bush walking. Tewantin/Noosa is only 20-30 minutes away by car or Two Dollar Taxi that arrives and departs from Boreen point 3 times a day. There are three styles of accommodation available on my property... two rooms upstairs in the main house, a self contained dojo/gym area downstairs for one person, and a rustic comfortable and self contained caravan for one or two people, surrounded by lush garden or those who like to really be part of the family life can choose a room in my house..
