This sunny room offer a chest of drawers and cozy single bed. This room is on the 1st floor, with available half bath down 5 steps and full bath on the 2nd floor. This is a great room for an individual looking for an economical stay while still enjoying full amenities.

When I started my Airbnb career, in June 2016, I really had no idea what was required of a host so I provided what I thought a visitor unfamiliar with the area, country or even continent would want. It seems to have worked since, for last seven consecutive periods, I have been awarded the title of 'Super-host'. Guests have been very happy and have enjoyed their stay with me and I have enjoyed meeting and getting to know them. Come and stay!

My house looks English and I am English. Be warned, you might experience some laconic Anglo-Saxon humour. I can accommodate six people in three rooms. So if you want to stay with an elderly Brit being as Jeeves-like (but not Fawlty-ish) as he can, then my rooms will suit you well.

The house is almost elegant and I am very proud of it. It is a large house, almost a 100 years old but fully modernized. It is situated in the historic neighbourhood of Westerwood comprising mostly early 20th century houses, just to the west of downtown Greensboro. You can see downtown from my house yard. But it is rather like living in the country - in the middle of a town.

My house is located in Westerwood neighborhood which is very old, tranquil and picturesque place; great for relaxing, exploring and walking. There’s also a concrete walking path across the street from the house which goes for many miles, through parks and greenways.

I am a 80 year old widower and retiree. I enjoy spending my time going for walks and working on carpentry projects. I am an avid church goer, but I'm not pushy about religion. I have a granddaughter whom I care for deeply and sometimes babysit in the afternoons (but she does not live with me). Having been born and raised in England, I still retain my British accent, however I have lived in Greensboro (and this house) for almost 40 years.

My loves in life are church, classical music, my two daughters, my grand-daughter and grand-son and Indian food.

My favorite films are Brief Encounter, Murphy's War, and the Godfather, but generally I love the film medium.

It seems to have worked because, for each period thereafter, I have been awarded the title of 'Super-host'. That must mean that guests have been very happy and have enjoyed their stay with me. I am now in my early eighties, live in the house and I love classical music. I have a beautiful grand-daughter (Ava – 4) and a handsome grand-son (Roman - 2) who spend an hour or so a day with me, keeping me young. Quite often guests bring their children and it's so sweet to see them play together.

I am usually around the house and available to help with whatever you need.
