A Few minutes walk from secluded beach cove. Stella Maris is an NGO, and all funds received through the rooms go towards various social projects. We also speak French, Italian, Tamil, Malayalam, Arabic and Irish.
A South indian breakfast is included in the room price.

Boligen
Stella Maris is an Oasis of peace and tranquility. Our B&B is part of a campus run by the Daughters of Mary congregation, and it is not an exaggeration to say that the campus is filled with a sense of wellness and recovery, in part generated by the ethos of the institution.
We are located at the most elevated point in Kanyakumari. Apart from giving us the best views, our location also gives us cool breezes when there is none to be found elsewhere in the town..
Our gardens are spacious, colourful and peaceful. On our campus we have a small organic farm with fruits vegetables and livestock. The staff and volunteers are always looking for an opportunity to chat with guests, and generally make them welcome.

Stella Maris (also known as Stella Maris institute of development studies, SMIDS for short) is a non-governmental, developmental and educational activities-based Trust. It was founded in 1995 and managed by Sisters belonging to the Congregation of the Daughters of Mary. All funds received through the Conference Center and the B&B rooms go towards the various projects. We are situated 7 minutes walk from the beach and 15 minutes walk from the town centre. The feedback from 95% of our guests as they check out is that they find our B&B to be an oasis of tranquility amid the constant chaos of town centre life.
Kanyakumari, the renowned South-Indian visitors' fishing town in Tamil Nadu, is located on the southernmost tip of the sub-continent, some 100 Km from Thiruvanthapuram (Trivandrum, Kerala). At Kanyakumari you can view both sunrise and sunset over the sea; a pretty unique feature and, while visiting Kanyakumari, you can enjoy the rare sight of three seas embracing each other: Arabian Sea, Indian Ocean and Bay of Bengal. Equally, there are several secluded sandy coves on the seashore within walking distance from our premises. In the town, you can visit the Vivekanantha Rock Memorial, The Gandhi Memorial and the Kamaraj Memorial, as well as the many restaurants.
