Come escape to our tiny modern off grid cabin situated in the middle of our private 125 acre mountain top property which backs up to Pisgah National Forest. Wake up to soaring mountain views, hike all day on the Blue Ridge Parkway, grill out and make S'mores over the fire pit, and then roll open the glass garage door to fall asleep under the stars in a comfy bed...just 25 minutes to downtown Asheville! All well behaved dogs are welcome!

Boligen
DUE TO THE NEW COVID 19 STAY HOME STAY SAFE COUNTY REGULATIONS: MAY IS ONLY AVAILABLE FOR LOCAL RESIDENT RENTALS, ESSENTIAL TRAVELER (either you have an essential job or you are here looking for real estate/moving here) AND QUARANTINE. THE PRICE WILL BE ADJUSTED IF YOU SHOW THAT YOU QUALIFY.

Wake up to a breath taking mountain view amidst the trees! Hike the easy nearby trail along the creek into Pisgah National Forest or drive 4 miles up to the blue ridge parkway for some of the best hikes in the area! You can be in downtown Asheville in 25 minutes to enjoy all the amazing food, breweries, and art galleries.

The cabin has a comfortable queen size bed, a propane 2 burner cook stove, solar generator to turn on lights and charge cell phones, a water cooler for drinking and washing, and a propane heater if its cold. We provide an outdoor shower with a solar shower camping bag. Attached to the cabin is a very clean porta potty with mountain views that is emptied weekly. The outdoor fire pit is a short stroll from the cabin for making s'mores- bring your own firewood. There is a charcoal grill next to the cabin if you like to grill out. Check out our sweet 2 person swing with epic views! The glass garage door on the front of the cabin opens to beautiful mountain views (it has a roll down bug screen we put out only during the warmer months). The cabin is heated by a propane heater during the winter.

CORONA VIRUS UPDATE-PLEASE NOTE UNTIL FURTHER NOTICED- We are recommending you bring your own bedding including pillows/queen size sheets/blankets or sleeping bags. We are spraying down all surfaces in the cabins with a bleach solution and taking the necessary precautions to disinfect everything. We will have bedding available if you cannot bring your own.

Bring a cooler with ice in it for your perishables (there is no fridge) and your own towels for bathing.

We provide basic cookware, a tea pot, coffee press and a couple 5 gallon jugs of water for you to drink and wash dishes in.

We love dogs and know how hard it is to find a place that allows them to come on vacation with you! Potty trained, well behaved, dogs of any size are welcome! Dogs cannot be left in the cabin unattended.

This cabin is located on a 125 acres of private land. We have other airbnb cabins located on the property but they are all far apart from one another.

Our favorite hiking and swimming holes are near the cabin on the Blue Ridge Parkway. Check out Black Balsam, Graveyard fields, Mount Pisgah, Skinny dip falls, Devils Courthouse and just hiking the Mountain to Sea trail. They often close the parkway for snow/ice conditions during the winter so be sure to check on road closure information before visiting. Even if the Blue Ridge Parkway is closed, you can still park up there and hike on the Mountain to Sea trail.

Near the cabin, there is an easy hike into Pisgah National Forest that we enjoy hiking along the creek and letting our dogs play in the stream.

Watch the sunset on our sweet two person swing! Bring charcoal along and grill out by the cabin. Hang out by the fire pit.

Andre ting, der er værd at bemærke
VERY IMPORTANT TO READ BEFORE YOU BOOK:

Our road is steep and there are rough patches in the pavement leading up to our gate. All types of cars can make it up our mountain, but before booking please take into consideration whether you are concerned about the abilities of your car, or are apprehensive of driving on steep mountain roads.

If there is snow or dangerous road conditions during the winter, we may have to close the roads to the cabin. Although it rarely snows here, be sure to check the weather and be prepared for a change in plans. I give full refunds if we have to cancel due to snow.

We provide a solar shower bag that can be heated in the sun and used year around (mind you, the shower is still outside!). During the warm summer months we have an off grid outdoor shower that is propane heated and fed by our rain water collection system...BUT it is temperamental and we cannot guarantee it will work during your visit. Other shower alternatives include: Asheville Yoga Center- has unlimited yoga classes (and a shower!) for short term visitors 2 day pass for $29 or 7 day pass for $59. Shoji Spa- 1 hr hot tub soak and shower amenities for $45. Asheville Raquet Club has gym passes for $20/day that include a shower and indoor salt pool, hot tub, and steam room. There is a YMCA nearby if you are a member. Classique Pilates has amazing classes available to take and nice showers. NEW to Asheville is BADA BASTU which is a beautiful Scandanavian spa...$35/person to use their spa space for the day including showers, sauna, and cold plunge.

The bathroom is a porta potty that is emptied on Monday mornings sometime between 9-11 am. We have requested they come closer to 11, and they have been fulfilling that request for us. They have to walk on the front deck to get to the toilet to service it.

The cabin is off grid and the solar generator collects sun for electricity. Only cell phones and small electronics can be plugged into the solar generator. No hair dryers. Although this situation is rare, if there is no sun...then there may be no electricity for the lights. Bring along lanterns and flashlights in case this happens and plan on charging your phone in your car if needed.

We do not have wifi. Most guests say they can get cell phone service from the cabin, but it depends on who your service provider is.

Use the swing at your own risk. It is super fun to swing on...but please be careful.

There is NO FRIDGE. Please bring a cooler and ice for your perishable items.

Bring your own towels, queen size sheets/blankets/sleeping bags/pillows.

All dogs of any type are welcome! Please help us keep this airbnb dog friendly by cleaning up after your pet!

I was born and raised in Asheville. I lived in California for 10 years to go to school and work a little and then I got smart and moved back home to Asheville to practice dentistry with my father. My fiancé and I love camping, biking, running, working on our farm, playing at the lake, and going on backpacking adventures. We are foodies and have eaten just about everywhere in Asheville so if you need advice on where to go, we are pretty hip to what's good. We have five Airbnb rentals. Three of them are off grid glamping cabins on our 125 acre tract of land that backs up to Pisgah National Forest just outside of Asheville. We have another creek side cabin in the same area that is a normal home with WiFi bumper pool and a wood burning stove. One rental is at Edisto Beach in South Carolina, which is one of the last non-commercialized beaches left on the coast. I have been told that Airbnb is my hobby and I have to admit that they are right! I love dreaming up ideas for cabins and spaces. It’s been so fun for me to do and I’ve loved getting to see people enjoy my places.
