We are just a mile to Porthilly beach which is famous for its oyster beds and Porthilly mussels, this sandy beach continues to the golden sands round to Rock Beach on to Daymer Bay, from here you can walk the coastal path to the surf spot of Polzeath. Opposite Rock is Padstow ,which again, has beautiful beaches and coastal walks and the Camel trail , there is plenty to do and explore in the area

A short ferry ride across the Camel Estuary lands you into the harbour of Padstow with a range of cafes, bars, pubs and top class restaurants including 'Rick Stein's many Restaurants' take away and deli, gift and food shops and Paul Ainsworth's No.6 michelin starred restaurant and Rojano's restaurant and his cookery school . A four mile drive from Rock (or cycle from Padstow along the camel trail) brings you to the historic market town of Wadebridge with the main supermarkets and amenities and lovely shops and eateries. Cornwall offers endless country and coastal walking with hidden towns, villages and beauty spots to explore.
There are wonderful walks to beaches and along the coast in Padstow too and the Lobster Hatchery, Padstow museum and the Deer park and country house.
Port Issac nearby is the home of Michelin star Nathan Outlaw`s eateries and is the home of Doc Martin the TV series.
Beaches and beauty points and villages and towns around were the filming spots for Poldark

It is peaceful at night in Pityme but all the eateries are open and the few takeaways , at present the Pityme Inn at the end of the road has a mini shop , online shop and also does a takeaway menu. The main holiday season brings a bit more hustle and bustle starting during Spring and the school holidays and the summer months.
