A tranquil space to unwind. Situated a few miles from the southern border of Snowdonia National Park.
Self contained apartment with balcony+patio is set in part of our garden & has lovely views of the valley & hills.
The area has plenty to offer in the way of walks & cycling, both difficult & easy or explore it’s valleys, lakes, waterfalls, nature reserves and the coast.
Some good cafes & restaurants in spectacular settings.
We’r so sorry but the apartment is unsuitable for children and pets!!

Boligen
The apartment is situated above an outbuilding in our garden, which is across the yard from our house, and has it's own private entrance. Below the balcony is a patio area overlooking the garden.
It's situated nicely off the beaten track without being too remote, being just a few miles from the main roads. There are hills between us and the main roads so there's no traffic noise, other than the occasional passing car or farm vehicle.
We live across the yard from the flat should you need us, but have the greatest respect for your privacy if you don't.
There is safe storage for bikes, surf boards and most holiday equipment you might want to bring.

Gæsteadgang
As well as a double bed in the bedroom, there is a double sofa bed in the sitting room, so this accommodation may also suit 2 friends/family sharing. (Please let us know, when booking, if you require extra bedding for the sofa bed).
The kitchen has a gas cooker, microwave, fridge/freezer, kettle, toaster & is well equipped with pots, pans, bakeware, scales, crockery, cutlery etc., free use of washing machine & drier, there's an iron + ironing board & clothes airer. Free WiFi, freesat TV, DVD player, hair dryer, books, games, jigsaw puzzles. Towels - there's a hand towel, bath towel, bath sheet & face flannel for each person, bed linen is provided, also tea towels, dish cloth, washing up liquid. We supply basics for your arrival such as fresh - tea-loose or bags, coffee, sugar, milk, butter, salt, pepper, vinegar, oil & when the hens are laying - eggs. There's a fire extinguisher, fire blanket & first aid kit, heat detector and carbon monoxide detector in the kitchen and smoke detectors throughout. The property has gas central heating, is well insulated and has a good hot shower.
Guests also have access to patio area next to a large flowerbed below the balcony. Both the balcony and the patio have lovely views looking down towards the river, which, unless water levels are low, can be heard from the balcony. The river can't really be seen from the apartment unless water levels are high. Every velux + window has a good view.

Andre ting, der er værd at bemærke
Please check with us for directions as sat nav's will either take you 0.5 miles past or 0.5 miles before the property, depending which direction you come from.
We are only strict about departure & arrival times if we have back to back bookings, to allow plenty of time for cleaning, otherwise we are very flexible about them.
Most phones get a good reception here but we're aware that 02 users are unable to get a signal in the apartment. Great wifi signal tho'!
For anyone who's allergic to them, Chris keeps bees!

Beliggenhed

Llanbrynmair, Storbritannien

Powys is the least populated, and largest county in Wales.
It stretches from Denbighshire in the North, (approx 1hr 30mins away), to Brecon & The Valleys in the South (approx 1hr 30mins & 2 hrs away).
The English border is to the East (1hr 30mins away) & the coast at Cardigan Bay is to the West (30-40 mins). We’re quite central to all the places I’ve just mentioned, so it’s perfect for people who want to explore different parts of Wales.
We have access to some great walks, including the famous Glyndwrs Way, which is accessed via a track next to our house. There are more gentle walks along the local lanes, including a riverside view walk. There are also spectacular places to visit just a short, scenic, drive away. .... The 'Torrent Walk', (approx 20 min. drive), is a magical, short walk through a small valley of waterfalls, mossy, fern covered trees & boulders, in spring it's covered in bluebells. The 'Precipice walk', has spectacular views of the Mawddach valley and is only a short drive from the 'Torrent walk'. Cadair Idris Mountain, Wales 2nd highest, is 20 mins away, (Snowdon is in the North of the National Park but as previous guests have mentioned, it's an enjoyable scenic journey to get there). Lake Vyrnwy is a very scenic location & great for walking, cycling, boating & eating - there are a couple of lovely little cafes tucked away there or the Vyrnwy Hotel has a choice of 2 Restaurants, with views overlooking the lake, & they are open to the public.
Ynys hir RSPB nature reserve (as seen on BBC's spring watch etc.) is approx. 20 mins drive away, as is the Osprey project, and 15 mins further is the nature reserve at Ynyslas, with beautiful large, clean, sparsely populated, sandy beach and sand dunes, from there you can see Aberdyfi across the estuary, with a backdrop view of the mountains. (We recently saw kite surfers having fun there).
A mile from Ynyslas is Borth, where you can enjoy a bevvy at the pub on the beach watching the sunset. Further up the coast from there is Barmouth and down the coast is the University town of Aberystwyth. There are also plenty of little known gems closer to home. Whether you're wanting to explore your way around Wales, walk, cycle or just simply chill out and enjoy being surrounded by nature, this is probably the place for you!

Hello, my name’s Jeannie. I love this area, immersed in nature, it’s a very peaceful place to live. Spring, summer, autumn or winter, I relish what each season has to offer. I live here with my husband Chris. We have 2 cats Jet & Alley, and Chris keeps bees.
