Be literally in the heart of it all at one of a handful of spaces in all St. Augustine where your unit is right on - and has a balcony literally hanging over - St. George Street, the pedestrian-only heart and “strip” of the city judged best in the country for walking. Be close to dining, nightlife, family-friendly activities, the beach, and literally on top of all our city offers.

There are extremely few spaces in St. Augustine which are available for rent that actually are on, and overlook and overhang directly over, St. George Street, the main pedestrian-only strip that is the heart of the Old City. And this space is one of those very few. Our unit recently underwent a $15,000 entire interior remodel from floor to ceiling.

In a free-standing historic building from a time long past, enjoy your air-conditioned one bedroom private apartment, plus a sitting/family room, and bathroom with tub/shower. This little vacation spot is perfect for couples or Mom and Dad and one or two small kids, but really shines when you enjoy breakfast or a late night bottle of wine on your private balcony as you watch the world pass by and pedestrians pass under you, along with the sights and sounds of the pulse of America’s oldest city. You will be literally right in the middle of the busiest shopping, dining and walking destination in St. Augustine; St George Street, which the balcony of your unit directly overhangs. Comfortable, cute, romantic, cozy (but not confining) and affordable, especially considering you can’t buy what we offer anywhere else. Come and make memories you won’t forget.

PARKING - PLEASE READ!

St. Augustine is a walking city. Shops, galleries, museums, food outlets, restaurants, attractions and most other things you will want to see you can walk to, and you should walk to, as parking is challenging.

Guests of the unit should park at the city parking garage at the north end of St. George Street. It is huge and cannot be missed. There is NO onsite parking for the unit, since the entire historic building is on a pedestrian-only street. It is a comfortable and easy and safe walk, day or night, of just a couple /few minutes from the garage to the unit. You cannot park at or drive up to the rental location. This is part of the unique charm we have to offer. Not even we have a place to park outside of a paid lot or garage. The parking garage is operated by the City and subject to change in rules at any time; however, typically the charge is $15 per day for parking. The possibility does exist to park at various meter lots and spaces around the City, but they tend to fill-up early in the day and all but one is farther from the unit than the parking garage, and one ticket for an expired meter will exceed the daily price of the garage.

CHECK-IN TIMES:

Guests check in at The Sweet Spot ice cream and confectionary shop below the unit. Ask any employee for help. Check in must occur by 9:45 pm, Sunday through Thursday, and before 10:45 pm on Friday or Saturday.

We do our best to allow check in as early as possible. However, check in is at 4:00, and cannot be promised earlier, but can be requested not earlier than one (1) day in advance of check-in. If, however, you book the unit on the same day as check-in, the unit may not be ready until 7:00 pm, or for 6 hours after booking, whichever is later.

YOUR LOCATION:

You will be staying on the second floor of a historic building in the heart of the most desireable location in St. Augustine.

Your apartment is directly over The Sweet Spot, one of St. Augustine’s premier ice cream and confectionary shops which offers the most ice cream flavors of any store on the strip as well as many other unique and special offerings.

NO SMOKING or VAPING:

However... because of this, and to protect the space, SMOKING and VAPING is strictly prohibited in this apartment AND on the balcony! Smoking within 25 ft of a food service establishment is prohibited by FL law. Vaping (electronic cigarettes, etc), however, is permitted ONLY on the balcony HOWEVER guests must notify us in advance of check-in via message that they intend to enjoy vaping on the balcony and follow the rules for vaping on the balcony set forth in the House Manual.

CRIBS AND INFANTS:

Any guest bringing an infant must bring a portable crib and all bedding.

DAMAGE:

Guests who damage the unit or items, or cause stains or other than routine cleaning, will be charged for such damage or cleaning, as well as for all missing items. A great deal of money was spent to make your enjoyment of this very special and historic place a comfortable, luxurious and special one. Please respect our special place as if it were your own.

Please be sure to immediately read the HOUSE MANUAL section of this AirBnB listing, which is available for review after making your reservation, for additional important information about your stay so you can cancel without penalty during the regular penalty-free cancellation time window if you don’t agree to its terms. Originally solely in another profession for 23 years, in addition to still doing that I now have two businesses in downtown St. Augustine that I operate with my adult son; this Airbnb unit and The Sweet Spot ice cream shop which is directly underneath the rental unit. I am married to the love of my life, Paulina and between us we have 6 children here in the US and Mexico from ages 8 to 23. She is a banker by profession and also owns two restaurants in Guadalajara, Mexico. The best part about these businesses, apart from working in this great city, is being able to interact in each one primarily with people who are on vacation. It’s great to always see people in a good mood!
