Simplicity of Cooking -Carbonara Pasta from Scratch&Tiramisù
[Please write me before booking so we can double check the availability] I will welcome you in my grandma’s apartment to show you the art of simply cooking delicious recipes that may seem challenging and complicated but will unexpectedly turn out to be really easy. Our approach to recipes reflects the way my beloved grandma used to cook. According to her, less is more - this is the reason why we will focus on the true tastes by using fewer ingredients but with excellent quality. Besides, getting the exact measurements will not be our priority, because I will train you on using your senses when cooking. In detail, after an aperitif to warm up we are going to make a delicious tiramisù, following my granny's authentic recipe. Secondly, pasta time! I will teach you how to make spaghetti from scratch starting with just water and wheat, according to the most ancient technique. Alongside with spaghetti, I will show you other pasta shapes which you can obtain from the same dough. Thirdly, while your dough is taking its 30 mins vacation, we make carbonara sauce. At the end, you can finally taste the fruit of your work with local red wine. After the lesson, I will make myself sure that you'll be able to replicate this typical Italian lunch/dinner at home to impress your guests. You will come back home with detailed recipes, beautiful photos and unforgettable memories.

Verona's secrets - the monolingual tour
Stroll through Verona's city centre together with your real local expert (educated and licensed in Verona!) and discover its main sights and its most suggestive corners! We'll do it by following a logical thread that will allow us to go through our path as if we were reading the script of an intriguing film plot. Indeed, the story is precisely the history of Verona, which unfolds for more than 2000 years, and has chapters such as the Roman and Medieval ages to its credit, very well represented by numerous and magnificent monuments, all deserving to be discovered and properly explained for full appreciation. Special attention will be given to the most crucial chapter: that of the two star-crossed lovers. And even in this respect, your knowledge will progress as you get plenty of anecdotes (secrets actually) unveiled. Specifically, we'll visit the main squares (Bra, Erbe, dei Signori) with their impressive monuments (Arena, Palazzo della Ragione, Palazzo Della Scala, Palazzo del Capitano, Loggia del Consiglio, Arche Scaligere); the main streets (via Mazzini, via Cappello, il Corso); we'll stare at both the stunning Medieval castle-bridge and the ancient Roman one; we'll go in search of unexpected Roman sights such as a gateway, an arch, and an archaeological site. All this is Verona, a UNESCO WORLD HERITAGE SITE. All this through our monolingual guided tour (IN ENGLISH AT 10:30)
Enjoy Verona in the Moonlight
We'll meet in the astonishing Piazza Erbe (the central Market Square), at the Fountain of Madonna Verona, and you'll be immediately fascinated by the stunning 17th century Palazzo Maffei and the breath-taking frescoes of Casa Mazzanti, together with the night life in the bars around the square and the small corners which hide stories, happy or heart-breaking, that will be revealed to you. We'll then continue through secret corners and intriguing alleys that cast their spell at night to get to the Well of Love, where the tragic story of Isabella and Corrado took place. Passing a couple of traditional and vibrant wine bars and enjoying the view of Verona night-life, we'll then walk along Corso Porta Borsari, where every single stone tells a story, to get to the Roman period Borsari Gate. Crossing Ponte Vittoria, we'll enjoy the enchanting view of the hills surrounding Verona and, walking along the gleaning Adige river, we'll reach the fabulous Castelvecchio, a 14th century castle, and we'll cross its enchanting bridge . You'll be part of the magic atmosphere and when we'll end at the spectacular Arena in its astonishing night-light, you'll be desperately lost in love with the irresistible, hypnotizing charm of this magic city.
