As the evening winds down you'll enjoy the spectacular colors as the sun sets over Fort McHenry and the city. Other things to note Come prepared for a enjoyable sail. Remember that it is typically cooler in the evening on the water, so a jacket might be a good idea. Segways are perfect for city riding and have a handle bar bag and rack so you can store all the essentials - phone, keys, wallet. After getting set up, you'll meet the rest of your group and go through a 30 min training session to get comfortable before heading out. Your tour will cover about 5-6 miles in 2 hours, making stops at all of the major monuments and memorials on the National Mall from the Capitol Building to The Lincoln Memorial and around the different Smithsonian Museums. I will take photographs of you while we walk to a few locations throughout Washington DC. This will include the United States Capital Building, Lincoln Memorial, and Washington Monument. If the weather is good, we will also go to a beautiful park where you really feel and see the lovely DC landscape. I will focus on taking pictures in as natural a way as possible, while you go about enjoying the scenery. In the end, you will have professional-looking pictures that I believe you will thoroughly enjoy. We will take a look at some of the pictures and I will then send them to you digitally.

We're vaccinated for your safety and peace of mind! If you've ever dreamed of sailing in a tropical paradise, we can help you get a great start to achieve that dream! From the very start you'll be on our stable and comfortable 36' Sabre sailboat, Condor. We'll jump right in with a little hands-on theory and terminology. Then we'll cover the important safety information and head out into Baltimore harbor. We will steer Condor out away from the dock, and then hand her over to you and your fellow students. Under our watchful and encouraging direction, you will be sailing! Just the wind and the sails and you! You and the other students will rotate through each position on the boat. You will be steering and hoisting and trimming sails, putting the theory you just learned to practical use. We limit the class size to five students to ensure that everyone gets sufficient hands-on time to learn and practice and ask questions. During this class, you'll learn basic sailing theory, terminology, and how to steer, hoist sails, trim sails, and tack. You will also have the opportunity to see many of the famous (and not so famous) Baltimore waterfront landmarks. Other things to note We're sailing on the 36' sailboat so it's not likely you'll get wet (unless it is raining). We will sail in light rain, but not in thunderstorms. The meet n' greet is a photo shoot and networking event for models and photographers. It's very relaxed and informal. Everyone mixes, mingles, and shoots at their own pace. Models and photographers shoot inside Graffiti Warehouse and when the weather is nice, outside in Graffiti Alley. Photographers, bring your camera and join the fun! Other things to note Flashes, speed lights, and additional lighting are welcome, but not necessary.

I’m a Kurdish chef and restaurateur who specializes in kebabs and grilled meat. What you may think of as late night fast food after an evening clubbing is in reality an ancient signature dish of my homeland with a history dating back to Central Asia and ancient Persia. Grilled meat in kebab-type preparation was depicted in Byzantine Greek icons and described in Homer’s Odyssey. This dish has some history! And I'll teach you about it, and show how to respect it - through preparation, grilling and serving. We will both prepare and eat an amazing meal together! What we’ll grill: The only true method for grilling authentic kebabs is over fire, so we’ll start with how to prepare and manage an open charcoal grill the natural way (no lighter fluid). These methods can be replicated, but best to learn the process with someone whose specialty is in open fire grilling. I will show you how to grill kebabs + chicken wings perfectly. I will explain what type of meat goes on various skewers, the process of marinating and how to keep the meat tender. I’ll give a tutorial on spices and we’ll prepare together (hands-on) side dishes of tzatziki (yogurt, cucumber and mint), Antep ezme (spicy Kurdish salsa), and onion salad with sumac and isot. *New babies born May 23rd!* Looking for a fun outdoor activity for the family? Need to de-stress from the craziness of life? Cuddling with animals offers the opportunity to relax your mind and let go of the stress and anxiety for brief period. Not to mention, it's just FUN! During your visit, you will have one hour to cuddle and play with the animals on our micro-farm. Being that this is an outdoor experience, we are really not set up to do cuddle sessions during inclement weather. If we are expecting bad weather for your booked hour, I'm happy to work with you on re-scheduling for a nicer day or time. We currently have lots of Nigerian Dwarf goats of varying ages, an almost 2 year-old miniature Zebu named Molly, a rescue steer named Ferdinand, and two pigs named Charlie and Ellie. We also have numerous chickens, as well as our little Holland Lop bunny Oliver. ** For the health and safety of both our animals and yours, we do not allow outside animals to visit the farm. ** **We do not have a public bathroom on-site, since this is our home. We will begin with a peek in the Gallery, featuring jewelry handcrafted by US artisans, and a tour of our Studio School. I will also share some history of our 1890 Victorian-era building. In the workshop, you will use steel letter stamps and a hammer to impress words of your choice onto sterling silver strips. Then, you will form the strip into a circle and solder it together (with help). Finally, oxidize (blacken) the ring, and polish to your desired finish. We limit the workshop to four students to guarantee lots of personal instruction, as well as the opportunity to get to know your classmates. Other things to note Unfortunately, our Victorian-era building is not fully accessible to the handicapped.

From there, we decide to sail toward the inner harbor or out past Fort McHenry, into the Patapsco river toward the Key bridge. This is a great opportunity to get more sailing time and develop your sailing skills under the watchful eye of a US Sailing Master Instructor Trainer. Never sailed before? No problem, during our time we'll teach you as much as you want. Just get away from it all on a relaxing sail? That not a problem either. Bring snacks and beverages to enjoy and just take in the breeze and enjoy the sights and sounds of sailing. This photo session can be adapted for engagements, elopements, families, graduating seniors, maternity, surprise proposals and business headshots. In a non-private session, another person may book and join you. We will walk together as a group and rotate between who is taking pictures. We will provide the necessary Bee Suit's and gloves, please wear appropriate clothing it can get warm in these suits, also no open-toed shoes! Just getting comfortable Some of our guests are a little apprehensive, so we take the time to just let you get comfortable being around the Bees. Light the smoker and jump on in! This is where we get to see all of the workings of the Colony. We will explain all that is going on and if we are lucky we will spot the queen! Pictures with your new friends! We will provide plenty of opportunities for you to get up close and personal with your new family, and selfies are always required!
