Sunrise Mindful walk & Meditation at Rumassala Peace Pagoda
Unawatuna & the surrounding mountain Rumassala has a special place in ancient history from the epic "Ramayana" to the amazing energy the rocky oceanic cliffs provide. I quit my job in mainstream advertising and moved to Unawatuna over a decade ago in search of peace and tranquility and lush green forests and ocean views. I have been a yoga and meditation practitioner for many years and the morning sunrise in Unawatuna over the rocks is a magical event that many do not take the time t appreciate. The Japanese peace pagoda that sits on top of the rocks provides a perfectly tranquil and zen environment to meditate and start the day with intent and love. We will start just after the morning at sunrise 7am on the main beach Unawatuna as we set the mood. We will have a brief chat about Rumassala and its' ancient history and significance in the ramayana as its' mystery and community and take a silent meditative walk up the hills through the village and watch the natural world around us wake u to the first rays of the sun. We will walk into the Japanese peace pagoda as the monks did in ancient times in silence one behind the other where we will sit in a circle and start with a session of breathwork and guided meditation that will be intention based on your intention for your day or week or life. We will end the tour with a sharing circle and a breakfast snack of fruits and herbal tea.

Guided Walking Tour of Galle Fort
Your host will meet you at the entrance to the Fort at 08:00 AM / 4:30 PM. Your host is a local and his masterful knowledge of the town and its history will show you the layers below the colorful beauty of Galle. The Dutch Fort of Galle has been an icon since 1400 BC. At the start, it was famous for cinnamon exportation. The Portuguese made Galle their headquarters on arrival and destroyed many important monuments which were in the area. The initial earth and palisade fort built by the Portuguese was later expanded on by the Dutch. The Dutch Fort was intricately designed with high stone ramparts and bastions. Buildings for administration and residency renovated streets and added advancements such as stormwater drains were added to the complex. Today much of the Dutch fort still stands. You will be able to climb the ramparts of the fort, which is a UNESCO World Heritage Site, and walk through the streets. Your host will also take you to museums filled with antiquities of old. You will also visit the British-built Galle lighthouse. Enjoy a cup of fine Ceylon Tea or a drink of King Coconut milk along the way. Your walk will be completed back at the Dutch Fort at 10:30 AM / 6:00 PM. Other things to note Once you meet us your guide will conduct the tour in the best routes while sharing valuable information.
