Det skal I lave

Join me, Oisin, Dublin native at the gates to Stephen's Green, top of Grafton Street where bullet holes remain from 1916 crossfire.

We'll pass Royal College of Surgeons similarly pockmarked from 1916, the Gaiety Theatre, built in 1876, before stopping at the new Luke Kelly memorial for songs and stories. Luke was hugely beloved in Ireland though the 60s and 70s sharing the role of lead singer at The Dubliners with Ronnie Drew.

We'll stop by Neary's, McDaids, and Bruxelles, some of Dublins oldest pubs, and hear The Auld Triangle, Raglan Road songs telling the story of Irish writers Brendan Behan, Patrick Kavanagh.

And on to Grafton Streets, 1840's Bewley's cafe, owned by Quaker, Joseph Bewley, someone truly helpful to the Irish during the famine—and hear from Oscar Wilde's mother's famine poem.

We'll go to the HQ of Feis Ceoil, a musicianship competition formed during the 1880's 'Gaelic Revival', Count John McCormack famous Irish American tenor in the 1920s-40s won in 1903, James Joyce took part in 1904!

Stop off for Irish whiskey tasting!!!

Passing the Shelbourne Hotel, where the signatories sat for the framing of the Irish Republic in 1922 we'll visit O'Donoghue's pub, home of The Dubliners, world-renowned trad Irish music group.

I am a Dubliner, born and bred, I have lived here all my life. My family are Dublin natives, my grandfather was a boy soprano in the Palestrina choir in the 1920s, growing up a few doors from James Joyce's house on Fontenoy Street. I am an opera trained singer and have a long love for Irish ballads, I have been staging Irish musical history events (including Living Dublin 1916 for RTE Television) since 2013.

The Irish exodus to America before and especially after the Famine means there are two Irish communities, those native to the the soil and those native in their hearts, this tour means to reach out to all those Irish at heart.

We will stop for an Irish whiskey tasting and finish in O'Donoghues for an Irish music session, its also one of Dublins most iconic Irish music pubs so what are you waiting for, see you soon!

Riktigt trevlig och personlig upplevelse att få möta irländska sånger och dess historia via en promenad som avslutades på en pub där Dubliners startade.

It isn’t often that one can go out on a dark, rainy evening, half-jet lagged, walk around Dublin for hours and return with memories to last a lifetime. But that is the magic that Oisin created for my Mother and I. He showed up promptly with a smile on his face and a song in his heart and simply wowed us with his knowledge of the history of Dublin and his remarkable talent. Oisin managed his tour like the kind of teacher you always want - kind, Insightful to you as a learner, and riveting in the delivery of his topic. Thank you, Oisin. A wondrous evening!
