Duration:3 timer i alt

Om din vært

I have lived in Wisconsin my whole life and have a degree in environmental education. Throughout my education, I have been interested in plants- what they are, what one can do with them: eating, making medicine, and I have learned much! In 2006, I took an ethnobotany course through UW Stevens Point. For the past three years, I have worked with Tavis's Mushrooms, both cultivating shiitake mushrooms…

Hvad vi skal lave

We will meet at a local coffee shop and then drive to take a hike at a nearby trail that many do not know of. We will hike for 2 hours and gather plants and mushrooms that are out when you visit, and I'll you about their biology and what can be done with them. Any questions you have I will either answer on the trail or follow up afterwards.

Her skal du være

We will meet in Rice Lake, WI (about 2 hours NW of the Twin Cities) and take a hike in the Blue Hills of Wisconsin- a beautiful unique place like no other in the state. The Blue Hills are home to pipestone quarries the Native Americans used and have lots of biological diversity.
