Det skal I lave

We will tell you the story of our family and our farm. We explain you the breed of sheep that we have, that is different from the usual one. You will do a tour in our farm and you will see all our animals and you will can touch them by real: sheeps, lambs, goaths, horse, dogs...
And we will show you our traditional way to do the handmade organic sheep cheese.
In the end you will taste all our different kind of cheese: fresh, semiaged, most aged (about one year of age).
If the weather is nice the tasting can be done outside; on the paved courtyard in front of the garden or in our new terrace (built on the roof of an ancient brick kiln) that overlooks the fields and woods that surround our farm.
In case of bad weather the tasting will take place inside our "Bottega", a salon obtained from the renovation of an old stable, wich also is the place where we sale our products.
Other things to note
Please note that our cheese are not pasteurized, some kind of people shouldn't eat it, for example pregnant women.
Furthermore please let us know, before you come, if you have some kind of allergy.

In my family we make sheep cheese since 1975, we (me and my sister) are the tird generation. I learned how to make cheese by my mother, who learned by her mother too. All our cheese are made by hand, our productiuon is small but made with care and love.

We had a great morning at Ada’s sheep farm, visiting with the animals, learning how the different cheese are made by hand, then the best part - the tasting! Ada doesn’t speak much English so her son Francesco is there to guide and translate. Very interesting to see the process and the differences between the fresh, semi-aged and aged sheep cheese, all so delicious! Wonderful family, they all seem passionate about what they are doing. We especially loved visiting the sheep, and got to hold a lamb! One very friendly lamb didn’t want us to go, and we surely wanted to take her with us. We named her Petunia. Thank you for this lovely experience, we highly recommend it!

100% the best part of my two-week trip in Italy. Do not hesitate to book this incredible experience. Ada and Francesco are wonderful hosts and made my solo adventure beyond memorable. The cheese is delicious, the farm is spectacularly beautiful and the animals are enchanting. Don’t even think twice - just book it. My expectations were entirely exceeded.

Amazing experience.Great and authentic step by step cheese making demo. Also it had almost all the animals one would find in the rhyme "Old McDonald farm"

This is 110% worth the time and money. Stayed in Italy for a week and this was by far one of the highlights!

We had such a wonderful day learning about how Sheep’s milk is made and touring the farm. We arranged for Francesco, Ada’s son to pick us up from the nearest train station which was very easy since we are staying in Florence without a car. When we arrived we learned a bit about the premises, then they demonstrated how different types of cheese are made. We then got to visit and hold lambs! They were absolutely the sweetest little animals! This was the highlight for me… We also fed the horse on the property. We then had cheese prepared several ways and desert w/ wine! This was so fun and unique! Would highly recommend!!! The couple with us had kids and they really loved the experience as well!

A unique and fantastic experience in Tuscany. The host family is warm, gracious, and make excellent cheese! It was also wonderful to see the working farm and meet the animals. Don’t hesitate to book this experience!
