Det skal I lave

Wear vintage clothes and pick up dance steps from the 1920s

We'll jump into the era of "les Années Folles"—the Roaring Twenties—where you'll learn the basics of the Charleston. That will eventually lead us to a fun choreography towards the end of the session. To spice up your closet with some Parisian vintage clothes, you'll have the opportunity to pop into a superb vintage shop just next door.

I am a professional dance teacher as well as a lover of the Paris of the 1920s and 30s. I'll share my passion for this fun dance with you. I've been living in Paris for the last four years, and have been in love with it since forever. Same goes for my passion for dance. Before finding swing, I also did classical ballet, contemporary dance, and tap dance. My true passion, however, lies with swing, including the Charleston. I discovered this incredibly fun dance over seven years ago, and this is my fourth year teaching it. I can't wait to share this passion with you.

Her skal du være

This experience will take place in a stunning, huge open space, built in 1874, which is now home to artists (actors, dancers, jugglers, and acrobats) who wish to practice their skills without bothering their neighbors. There are two stylish cafes on site as well as a vintage shop.

We had such a fun time with Aniko! We were originally scheduled to do the experience on Sunday but when she realized she would be unavailable that day she made sure to reach out to me and helped us get it rescheduled. We are so happy we didn’t have to cancel because it was such a good time that we are thinking about incorporating the Charleston dance style into our wedding reception dance routine. I would definitely recommend this experience!

I really enjoyed the dance experience with Aniko. Aniko managed to find a quiet spot within a great artistic and cultural place (Centquatre). She speak both english and french, is thoughtful and really good at explaining dancing steps and sharing anecdotes about Charleston. It was a great experience! I will sure recommend it to my friends. Thanks again :)

The center in which we met was a really nice insight into how people in Paris maybe practice dance. Aniko started with the basics which I will now have to practice on my own :)

I highly recommend this experience with Aniko. She was warm, attentive, very knowledgable, and she also gave me great tips and adjusted the steps based on what worked best for me. Thank you so much for the experience, Aniko! I loved it!
