Nice&cool cycling along the river & in the park under trees!

It's beautiful & fresh cycling along the river where no tourists visit, and we go through local Japanese neighborhood districts, which are beautiful, cozy, and quiet.

Especially hidden gems in Nara, cycling along the Saho river, only local people visit :)
Fewer tourists, no cars, no stress, you'll get relax feeling from busy Osaka/Kyoto staying.

And in Nara park, beside crowded and busy Todaiji-big Buddha, not many people go up to Nigatsudo hall on the hill. The view from the Nigatsu-do hall is just breathtakingly beautiful. But you've got to ride your bicycle up there. It's a little bit of exercise.

We can feed the deer in Nara park while we go cycling around. I'll get the deer crackers for you :)

And I'll take some lovely group photos of you while we're cycling. I'm an excellent selfie photographer!

From Nigatsudo hall to the station, it's all the way downhill. It's an easy way back!

If it rains hard, we'll get your raincoat, and we can walk around in the park. (We ride buses between the station and the park.)

There is a sake brewery in town, and we can try Sake tasting if you want. (500yen Extra charge)

I was born in Nara, grew up in Osaka, worked in Tokyo, but I came back to Nara because I love Nara so much!!
I've been guiding foreign tourists around Nara for more than ten years, and I love cycling very much for the whole of my life. I've done cycling from Tokyo to Nara once!

I've been cycling with my daughters, one in the front, one on my back. We've always been finding quiet and beautiful bike paths, and I can take you to these places only local people go. And you can save time by cycling.

After this bike tour, you can keep riding the bicycle if you wish, return it later. (I'll show you how.)

I want you to enjoy your stay in Nara!
Let's enjoy Nara cycling and the beautiful scenery!

Her skal du være

We meet at JR Nara station, in front of Starbucks, outside of the station.

We walk to the rental bike shop and get your bicycle.

First, we go to the Saho river, where only local people go cycling along the river.
We go down cycling for a few KM, enjoying the beautiful scenery.
And then, we go up to Nara park, visiting some hidden spots, and go on a picnic, having Kakinoha-sushi.

After 2.5 hours of the tour, you can keep going cycling if you w

If Nara were a club, Hiro-san got us in from the secret VIP entrance. We visited many of the popular tourist sites, but got there using a path only a local would know, on streets only a bicycle could travel. On the way, we experienced the beauty of the city, outside of what you usually find through internet searches. Hiro-san offered to take and share pictures as we enjoyed our time, such as when we interacted with the deer in Nara park. Would definitely visit the city with Hiro-san again.

Highly Recommended. its a perfect trip. Biking is a really good and efficient way to explore the beautiful scenery in Nara. Hiro is friendly and professional , explaining many interesting stories in Japan. The view in Nara is out of breath, if you only have half day here, please try this biking tour with your family/ friends. It’s worthy! Ps Hiro also owns a lovely cafe in Nara street. Food is good and vibe is comfy .

I think the best way to see a city is by cycling through it, and I was lucky to be the only one scheduled for this tour that day. Hiro san really devoted his time and energy to make sure that I had a good trip; one that I would not experience otherwise. Nara is beautiful and I'm so happy that Hiro san showed me a lot of things a regular tourist wouldn't see. I have to say that the best part of the tour was the sake tasting and the soumen right after.

Hiro’s bike tour was simply amazing, he was really friendly & took us through areas of Nara we otherwise would never have seen. He was easy to talk with & had lots of history of Nara & the areas we rode through. Hiro went above & beyond for our tour, taking us to multiple sake stops & recommending a delicious place for dinner. As we were staying over night we even got to keep our bikes so we could explore further the next morning. Thank you so much for the wonderful afternoon Hiro, we loved it & Nara. This tour is well worth it!
