Whether you’re a seasoned climber or complete beginner, I’ll teach you my personal training techniques and methods to help you get stronger and feel in tune with your body and mind. We’ll go through three interactive modules where I will teach you a skill and then we'll practice it together.

The first will be mobility. In climbing it's important to be flexible and strong, and mobility is a practice that helps to preserve and increase your joint ranges of motion. All you’ll need is comfortable clothes you can move in, and, if you want, a yoga mat for the floor.

In the second module, you’ll learn about grip strength training. There are tools that climbers have developed to enhance grip—I’ll show you some ways to work on your grip just using everyday household items.

Finally, we will talk about visualization and strategic techniques. No equipment is needed, except the power of your imagination. At the end of the lesson we will have time for a Q&A session.

Hi, I'm Alannah!
I'm a professional climber and climbing coach from Vancouver, BC. I've been climbing for 20 years, competing for 15, and coaching for seven years. I have competed on the World Cup circuit for the past five years and this past February I qualified to represent Canada at the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games.

Alannah was very helpful and understanding. She taught us many tips and tricks, such as visualization. She walked us through mobility and visualization excercises. I saw her at the Pan-Ams and it was exciting to see her up close. Overall, it was a very good experience. (Zoe)

Alannah was very personable, knowledgeable, analytical, and experienced! She shared a lot of tips and personal learnings that I think will improve my climbing here on. Prior to this session, I've always had trouble being discplined to "train" for climbing, and I think a big of that lack of motivation came from not understanding the importance of training. I think Alannah also did a good job explaining that and relating it to a bit of the anatomy of our bodies. Overall, she was wonderful and I'm really glad I got to learn from her!

I've only climbed a handful of times, so I just feel SO grateful that a pro who's dedicated her life took her time to give me training lessons and tips! Alannah was friendly, attentive and super knowledgeable. I enjoyed being able to learn about climbing methods even while at home, with objects at home like books, my fridge, and my dining table. I'd definitely recommend Alannah!

It was really evident that Alannah knew a lot about climbing and movement. She explained the reasons behind the exercises and how we're supposed to feel while doing them. I learned new unique exercises that wouldn't have been so obvious to climbing, but apparently they work! Plus totally doable with zero special equipment needed. She was in great spirits throughout which made us feel welcome.
