“We need music to feel at equilibrium in these challenging times.” > Yo-Yo-Ma

From international award-winning singer/songwriter Jim Reader’s home studio in the foothills of the magnificent Canadian Rocky Mountains, comes this extremely unique "edu-taining" multi-media presentation. The homey atmosphere allows guests to relax in their own comfortable environment and escape from our wacky world back into another era for a while. Jim's performance includes a split screen that includes over 200 vintage photos, artwork and graphics that augment the theme and lyrics of every song, poem and story. Guests will feel the wind, smell the sage and taste the traildust down the trails of North America's Old West. Particular emphasis is on Alberta's early frontier and the NorthWest Territories of the late 1880's.

Jim’s presentation and his original music set the scene beautifully. It was like we were in his home in Calgary. This far exceeded my expectations, Jim’s musical storytelling was wonderful. I highly recommend this experience.

Wow ! Honestly, I wasn't expecting such an enjoyable, engaging and heart-felt experience. Jim is really a welcoming, charming person, with wit, lots of knowledge - and such a great voice. I loved so much his beautiful, mindful songs (and poems) and also the lyrics. I could really feel the spirit of cowboys, cattles, buffalos etc. also thanks to his incredible slide show. This was pure delight and a special moment for me. A different kind of "history lesson" at its best ! 100 % recommended !!

If you want to be transported back to yesteryear and relive Old West history through words and song for an hour, Jim Reader will help you imagine that you're sitting around a campfire on a cattle drive. He is truly a cowboy troubadour and a very affable and knowledgeable host. Well worth an hour of your time.
