First we hike, then we yoga, then we bask in the green forest energy.

We'll start our adventure with a slow and steady ramble through state forest land, passing old mining town remnants, lots of green forest, and a lovely little lake that's a seasonal stop over for many bird species. Depending on the day, there are options to extend the hiking portion if we find ourselves moving quickly, or feeling inspired to stretch our legs further. Expect to spend at least an hour on the hiking portion of the journey.
Eventually, we will find ourselves some space to move through a midful yoga practice. We can take advantage of the clean, fresh air while we stretch our bodies and quiet our minds.
Other things to note:
-Host will provide small yoga mats to use if desired, no need to bring your own.
-We hike rain or shine so dress for the weather (you'd be surprised how fun it can be to get a little dirty or wet in the forest, bring an open mind and some extra clothes in the car).
-Bring hydration and snacks, footwear good for walking, and you may want bug spray and sunscreen depending on the season.

As a lifetime resident of the gorgeous Pacific Northwest, I have spent thousands of hours and logged hundreds of miles exploring the beautiful natural areas our state has to offer. Through my yoga teacher training, and the teaching experience I've gained since then, I have come to love the experience of yoga in the green, open spaces. I find it adds balance to my physical experience, and also creates a deeper connection with the spiritual experience of nature. I am grateful and excited to combine these passions in this experience and share my big backyard with others!

We will be adventuring within the Tiger Mountain State Forest area, a state park located on an old mining and logging townsite. The forest is covered in miles of inter-connected trails joining various natural and man-left features. Having spent countless hours wandering the many trails in the area, I am able to adapt and tailor each experience to the individuals included. Trails range from wheelchair accessible to 'training for summits' incline.

This experience is for all levels! I’ve never done yoga before but Sarah’s guided meditation eased me. The forest is beautiful and the hike was moderate. I travelled via Lyft and the driver easily found the location.

Highly recommend Sarah as your guide through the forest or anywhere she can lead you. Learned a lot from Sarah. She has a beautiful heart and soul. She was very thoughtful and leaves you with something to think about through out the rest of journeys. Thank you, Sarah! I really enjoyed our time together.

Had such a wonderful experience with Sarah! Truly a must do for anyone who loves being outside. The scenery is magical and Sarah tailors both the yoga and the hike to your personal needs. She’s super friendly and calm and it was a fantastic experience overall! Also just to note there wasn’t an experience available for the date I wanted so I reached out to her and she was able to accommodate my schedule request! So if you’re interested but unable to do the dates she has listed be sure to reach out to her!

I very highly recommend this experience! Sarah is the perfect hiking guide and yoga instructor. The trail was beautiful. She pointed out things I wouldn’t have noticed, so I learned some ecology without realizing it. The yoga was so calming and grounding. In one afternoon, I was able to connect with myself, other people, and the natural world. I left the experience feeling a new clarity about my life!

This experience was just what i was looking for! Sarah was a perfect guide: friendly, attentive, knowledgeable, and helpful. The hike was lovely, and Sarah clearly knew exactly where she was going. The conversation was easy, and she keeps on regular communication before meeting and answers all questions quickly. We started with an easy hike, then did a short yoga flow in a nice area, and finished by hiking back to the car. I totally recommend this experience to others.
