Det skal I lave
Arrive on the farm and be greeted by our herd of 6 lovable equines. Start out with our gorgeous, gentle Mama horses and learn to read horse body language and communicate with them in a gentle manner while grooming and interacting with them. Then, once you know what to look for in what a horse is communicating to you, and how you safely should approach a new horse, we'll take you for a visit with our adorable foals. You can try out your new horse communication skills and help them learn how to interact with new people - this can be scary when you are a baby horse, so we teach them in a very gentle way that meeting new people is good! Next we will visit with the mini horses. Take the mini's on a walk through the obstacle course and learn about using positive reinforcement with treats when they navigate an obstacle (like walking in a kiddie pool or stepping up on a small platform). Walk or jog with them around our 20 acres and over small jumps or in the creek. The finale of your day will be helping hitch the minis to their wagon and having a guided tour around our meadows in the wagon. At the end of the wagon ride, you can help give the minis a bath if the weather is hot. Take home a horse themed necklace or pair of earrings to commemorate your special day.

Her skal du være
Harmony Meadows is a beautiful horse farm bordered by woodlands and hayfields. Although we are only a few short miles from I-40, you will step into the slower pace and peace of nature and animals away from traffic, phones, and crowds. Breathe deeply of the fresh, clean air, feel the gentle nuzzle of a horse on your hand, and it's soft breath on your face. A tree-lined creek with a cement bridge passes through the meadows.

This is a farm so be prepared to be outside with appropriate footwear (boots, closed shoes) and layers for changing weather. We can do most of the experience in the barn if it is rainy, but not the driving or obstacles. We are flexible, so contact us to set up a time that works for you!
