Det skal I lave
We’ll meet at Chautauqua park, where we’ll go over the trail map, discuss the specifics of the hike, and assess our readiness as far as gear and physical fitness are concerned. We’ll then trek the roughly 2.5 mile loop up past the first flatiron and to the base of the top of the second, and then back down. Physically fit individuals who are confident in their abilities may choose to ascend the formation of rocks to the summit of the second flatiron. Along the trail, we’ll leave the possibilities for adequate rests and playful detours open to our collective, present desires. The loop takes an average of two hours to complete, but I find that it’s best to forget about time for a little while and let the journey dictate where, how, and what pace we experience this natural playground. Plenty of time will be allotted for the return trip, keeping in mind that most incidents occur on the descent portion of any given hike. I hope to get to know you throughout our adventure, and I’m happy to answer any questions you might have about Colorado, or give suggestions to improve your experience of discovering this beautiful state.
Much of our human history was made interacting with the natural world, and by returning to that, we grow mentally and physically in ways that are hard to match in a synthetic environment. I’ve been hiking since I was a child, and at 24 years old, my passion for adventure has only increased. I’ve experienced different terrains and climates in various places around the world. Living in Colorado for a total of 3 years, I’ve extensively explored the foothills near Boulder. I’m an enthusiastic and energetic host, with a lasting curiosity for the outdoors that keeps me learning throughout every experience. My passion is to pass that knowledge along, and encourage a culture of responsible and sustainable, exploration and adventure.
Her skal du være
Chautauqua Park is a frequented part of town for locals and tourists alike. This is the starting point for many different trails that together create a labyrinth of opportunity for personal discovery. The apex of our excursion will be the top of the second flatiron. The view here offers a beautiful perspective of the foothills and encompasses Boulder and the expansive surrounding area, stretching all the way to the Denver skyline on a clear day.

Op til 6 gæster i alle aldre kan deltage. Guests should be confident hiking roughly 2.5 miles over rough terrain. The trail gets very steep in a few areas, and guests will need to use there hands and feet to overcome certain obstacles.
Dogs are allowed, but must be on a leash. I believe this hike is suitable for most people, whatever age, but physical fitness should be considered with elderly individuals or young children.
