You´ll get inmerse in the tranquillity of the Feuerkogel high plateau in the Salzkammergut region and never-ending kilometres of pristine white splendour in front of you! Snowshoe hikes – especially when you go on a guided tour and put yourself in the safe hands of a guide - are probably one of the most relaxing winter sports there is.
After meeting us in the base of the Feuerkogel cable car, the lift takes us to the top of the mountain were we put the snowshoes on. After a really practical lesson on how to walk with our new equipment we´ll inmerse in the heart of the Feuerkogel high plateau.
Relatively easy snow-shoe hiking on the flat, going uphill and downhill can become a challenge, and the Feuerkogel offers the right terrain for every ability level.

We´ll be able to feel the inmensity of the mountains in winter as we enter a pristine wite area in the high plateau. We are able to observe the other summit surrendering us almost from a bird perspective as the valleys and lakes arround us are further deep down the mountains.

Remember we´ll be hiking in winter time on a high area of a mountain, it means that we´ll be exposed to the actual weather condotions; wind, cold or warm temperatures, sunlight exposure during the hole hike, snowfall or even rain.
