You will learn how to make the nerikiri dough using rice flour, the filling (chestnut/ red bean/ black sesame), coloring your dough as well as basic shaping techniques. After the class, you can eat your own creation with matcha tea or bring home.
I am a certified wagashi instructor by JSA Japan. I speak English, Japanese, Chinese and Tibetan language. An ex vegan cafe owner and published author of three books including a cookbook. I also teach raw food, vegetarian and vegan food making classes on Meetup Group in Epping. Wagashi (和菓子) are traditional Japanese confections that are often served with matcha Japanese green tea and are typically made from plant-based ingredients inspired by Nature. In the class, you will learn how to make three wagashi designs and can take home with you or eat right away.
